January 21-23, 2026 (Rome, Italy)
For the second year, I have participated in the annual workshop organized by UMI- Unione Matematica Italiana- on Mathematics for Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning.
It is always a great and valuable opportunity to share new ideas, research developments, and updates with the mathematical community.
During the workshop, I also had the opportunity to present a poster entitled "Understanding push-forward generative models through the lens of optimal transport and regression", where I shared my recent research activities developed during the visiting period in Montréal (joint work with S. Brugiapaglia, B. Adcock, G.A. D'Inverno). The feedback and insightful conversations were extremely stimulating and provided new interesting perspectives for future work!
January 14, 2026
A new paper entitled "Training dynamics of GANs through the lens of persistent homology" in collaboration with B.T. Corradini, B. Cullen, S. Marziali, G.A. D'Inverno, M. Bianchini and F. Scarselli has been published in Neurocomputing. For more details, check it out! [link]
October 2, 2025 (Trieste, Italy)
While in Trieste at SISSA for an intense and productive week of work (with S. Brugiapaglia, hosted by G.A. D'Inverno), I had the true pleasure of sharing some results of our latest work in a talk for the SISSA MathLab Analysis Junior Seminars. It is always a great opportunity to get feedbacks and engage discussions to improve the work.
June 9-11, 2025 (Montréal, Canada)
I participated in the workshop "Approximation and learning in high dimensions" at the Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM), in Montréal. It was another big chance to listen to many inspiring talks from both leading experts and younger collegues, while fostering connections for possible future collaborations.
May 20-24, 2025 (Montréal, Canada)
I attended the Spring School at the Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM) in Montréal. The program was undoubtedly intense, but it offered a great chance to learn from distinguished speakers and network with international colleagues through many valuable discussions.
April 26 to July 29, 2025 (Montréal, Canada)
I had the valuable opportunity to spend 3 months in Montréal, visiting Simone Brugiapaglia's group at Concordia University and Mirco Ravanelli's SpeechBrain group at MILA - Quebec AI Institute.
During this academic visit, I conducted researches on the mathematical foundations of push-forward generative models focusing on the possible connections between Wasserstein distances and l^p regression.
It was an incredibly enriching experience. I had the chance to work with great people, meet many inspiring researchers and engage in stimulating discussions. Truly hoping that it will boost my future research and foster further collaborations.

January 29-31, 2025 (Bari, Italy)
I joined the annual workshop organized by UMI- Unione Matematica Italiana- on Mathematics for Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. It was a great opportunity to meet the Italian mathematical research community, learn about current research directions, and share ideas.
During the workshop, I presented a poster entitled "GANs through the lens of Topological Data Analysis", an ongoing joint work with B.T. Corradini, B. Cullen, S. Marziali, G.A. D'Inverno, M. Bianchini and F. Scarselli. It was great to receive some first feedbacks and discuss the initial phases of this work. Looking forward to share updates and results!
December 4-6, 2024 (Siena, Italy)
Siena hosted the Italian meetup of the Learning on Graph (LoG) conference 2024, and I had the pleasure of being part of the organizing committee with the awesome group of colleagues you see in the photo. So much work, so much fun, and super interesting contributions from all the participants!
September 2-6, 2024 (online)
I attended the third Summer School hosted by the Cambridge Centre for AI in Medicine (CCAIM). The school brought together students, researchers, clinicians, and industry experts in one week of intense dives and work sessions. A great look into the field of machine learning in healthcare!
May 28, 2024
A new paper entitled "Protein-Protein Interfaces: A Graph Neural Network Approach" in collaboration with N. Pancino, F. Romagnoli, P. Bongini and M. Bianchini has been published in Neurocomputing. For more details, check it out! [link]
March 15, 2024 (Siena, Italy)
I was awarded the first prize for my Master's thesis as the best thesis on "Artificial Intelligence and Data Science: emerging technologies between growth and progress".
November 1, 2023 (Siena, Italy)
I started my PhD program in Information Engineering and Science at the University of Siena, under the supervision of prof. Monica Bianchini and prof. Franco Scarselli.
