Early Bird Registration Sale ENDS January 17!
It is highly recommended to stay on campus in the UL Apartments! Read below to learn all about them.
Additional apartment info is here on the AAW website.
The majority of attendees will be assigned to either Dromroe Village or Cappavilla Village. There are some 4-bedrooms available, but mostly 6-bedroom options. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink. The bedrooms are off a central hallway, accessed via a locked door, and each bedroom has its own keycard lock. The living area and kitchen are off of the central apartment hallway. You are provided with towels, bed linens, toilet paper, a hotel-sized bar of soap and a sample bottle size of liquid soap. Cleaning staff will replace as needed.
NOTE: NO hairdryers are provided in the apartments, but the Village office does have a few to loan. North Americans - do NOT bring your own hair tools! They will burn up, even on a converter.
There are a very few accessible apartments. Please be sure to clearly specify this need when you make your reservation if this is needed.
The on-campus apartments are equipped with a kitchen that has a refrigerator, freezer, hob (stove), kettle, toaster, and microwave, along with cookware, dishware, and silverware.
The bedrooms have double/full-size (140 cm) beds only.
No A/C. Windows do open. Bring a personal fan.
Daily high is typically around 20C/68F, but it's HUMID. During the last two Alumni Weeks, we've had warm, sunny days that were 24C/75F, and cool, windy, rainy days that were 14C/58F. Bring layers you can add and remove throughout the day! The evening lows average in the low 50'sF/11-13C.
You may have a total apartment occupancy of the number of bedrooms plus 2 people. In other words, only 2 bedrooms may have an additional person in them. (4 bedroom = 6 people; 6 bedroom = 8 people) There is an additional charge for the additional people at €45/night per person.
Reservations are made directly with UL. You will be provided a link when you register for AAW.
DEADLINE to reserve an apartment: MARCH 6, 2026 (There will be NO extensions.)
IMPORTANT: Everyone who wants to stay in the on-campus apartments should figure out your roommates BEFORE January 1, 2026, especially if you want to reserve a 4-bedroom. They sell out super fast. The deadline to reserve any apartment will likely be mid-February again. One person must make the reservation for the entire apartment for the entire week.
NEW IN 2026: The University has instituted a 50% initial deposit, with final payment due by May 17, 2026.
The primary person making the reservation will pay for the initial DEPOSIT for the ENTIRE apartment for the entire time at the time of the reservation! So this person will collect money from your roommates (hopefully prior to paying for the apartment). You should also coordinate when everyone is arriving on campus, since you will be charged for the entire apartment (all bedrooms) from the first person who arrives to the last person who checks out. This is why you should coordinate arrival and departure dates.
I recently learned that UL seems to assign apartments based upon when you registered for them, along with trying to keep castmates together in the same building. So, this means that we should attempt to all make our housing reservations as close to the same week as possible once the housing registration opens in order to try to get our apartments close together.
Each apartment "village" (i.e. Dromroe Village) consists of several different multi-level "houses" that contain the apartments. Each house has a locked exterior door and typically only two apartments per floor, and usually consists of four floors. So, if our cast members are assigned to different houses within the same village, we have to go outside to get to the other apartment and request entry into the building via an intercom and buzzer.
(NOTE: My favorite currency converter app is Currency Plus.)
Each bedroom (single occupancy) costs €89/night (~$103). This is the cost for ONE person in the bedroom. As I said earlier, the "additional" person in a bedroom will incur a cost of an additional €45/night (approx. $53).
Example: 4 bedroom with 4 people, Sunday - Sunday (7 nights) = €2492.00 (approx. $2897.00), Initial Deposit = €1448.50
4 bedroom with 6 people, Sunday - Sunday = €3122.00, Initial Deposit = €1561.00
6 bedroom with 6 people, Sunday - Sunday = €3738.00 (approx. $4345.00), Initial Deposit = €1869.00
6 bedroom with 8 people, Sunday - Sunday = €4368.00, Initial Deposit = €2184.00
UL Staff will come in each apartment every other day to empty trash, sweep, and change out your towels (you are supplied with one bath towel and one hand towel), and restock toilet paper. In the middle of the week, they will also change out your sheets. You can ask for an extra set of towels in the Village office, but know that the cleaning staff will take it and not replace it during cleaning days! (I hid my extras this year each cleaning day! lol) They also do some light cleaning in the kitchen, but you are expected to clean your own dishes throughout the week. There is one hand towel provided in the kitchen, but no paper towels.
