The villa was finished around March 2021 and the keys handed over in the April of that year. We brought some extensive plants over in December 2020 and kept them in store until it was time to start working on the villa garden.
The plants that where brought over where I hope where able to grow here in Spain, like roses, passion flowers and walnut trees etc.
The garden is it's third year that being 2024!
A plan has been set to 3 to 5 years to make it established.
The land/garden consist of some 13000 sq meters of which 25% is fenced off.
We have an extensive Almond trees which are still to be worked on but gave a few kilos last year.
Almond trees are very common in the valley which turns pink between January and March each year with the blossom.
Grapes and Olives are also very common in this valley.

Water is like gold here in the summer so apart from the planting, there had to be found a way to collect and store any rain, washing up and shower water. There was also two pipes that led from the roof and pool which let any rain water/over flow into a nearby field. I wanted to divert these into a couple of 1000 lt tanks. In order to do this retaining walls had to be put in, i used some called Gabions!
The soil is fairly neutral with a PH of around 7. Three compost bins using plastic pallet's where setup quickly, I might add these have been move various time but are now in place and the first years is taking all our weeds, grass cuttings and cardboard. We also have a wormery set up made out of an old UK wheelie bin (thanks to my brother dearly departed Michael) for our kitchen waste.
