Effective Date: November 21, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how the Password Entropy Estimator ("the App") handles your information. Unlike many other apps, our philosophy is simple: Your data never leaves your device.
The App is designed to calculate password strength and entropy.
No Data Collection: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, including the passwords you type into the App.
Local Processing: All mathematical calculations (E=L×log2(R)) are performed locally on your device’s processor.
No Background Tracking: The App does not use cookies, trackers, or analytics to monitor your behavior.
The App provides a "Paste" and "Copy" feature for your convenience.
The App only accesses your clipboard when you manually tap the Paste button.
We do not monitor your clipboard in the background.
The App contains links to external sites (such as the Privacy Policy hosted on Google Sites).
When you click these links, you are directed to a third-party site. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content or privacy practices of any third-party sites or services.
The App requires minimal permissions to function:
Internet Access: Only used to open the Privacy Policy link or external "About" pages in your device's web browser.
No Identity/Contact Access: The App does not request access to your contacts, identity, or location.
Because the App does not transmit data over the internet or store passwords in a database, it is inherently protected from most remote data breaches. However, we recommend using the App in a private setting to prevent "shoulder surfing" (people looking at your screen).
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, you can contact the developer.
