Why Run?

I'm running for Congress because our political system has been shaped by dark money, lobbying, and special interests instead of serving the everyday people of our district. 

I was raised here in Myrtle Beach by two middle-class teachers who taught me the value of public service, dignity, and responsibility to the community. 

Throughout my life, I've watched candidates from both sides focus on political framing, messaging, culture wars, and fundraising rather than facing the challenges of the working class. Issues like affordability, taxes, infrastructure, and overall economic opportunity are sometimes discussed, but never addressed through legislative action.

This is why I'm running as an independent. I realize that neither party has prioritized reducing the influence of money in politics; both parties have solely served billionaires, lobbyists, big donors, and special interests. How could I serve my district's constituents in a party that prioritizes only the elite?

This campaign is about changing our political approach. It means reducing the influence of money in politics, ending lobbying, and refocusing the government to focus on the working class.

This is the only way we can deliver a better future. One where our country can make decisions free of corporate and foreign influences. One where our country can deliver on healthcare, justice, and focus on taking care of the needy.

At the core, this campaign is centered around one idea.

Our future deserves a voice that is accountable to the everyday Horry County resident, not to political parties, lobbies, or powerful interests
