Car Sawari ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Car Sawari: Carpooling App (the "App"), a peer-to-peer ride-pooling and car rental connection platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
When you sign in via Google Sign-In, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google.
After login, you must provide your age, gender, and phone number to complete your Car Sawari profile.
We collect pickup and drop-off locations, travel schedules, seat availability, pricing preferences, and in-app chat messages with other users.
We collect precise location data via Google Play Services (Fused Location Provider) ONLY when you actively share a ride or track a journey. Location access is optional but required for core ride-pooling functionality.
We collect device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (for Firebase Crashlytics and analytics), and app usage statistics.
We collect IP addresses, app crash reports, and performance diagnostics through Firebase services.

Car Sawari uses the following third-party SDKs and services:

Stores ride data, user profiles, chat messages, and booking information.
Stores profile photos and ride-related images.
Collects device tokens to send ride updates and notifications.
Collects device identifiers, operating system version, and crash logs to improve app stability.
Collects app usage events, session duration, and feature interaction data.
Collects email, name, and profile photo for authentication.
Collects location data, search queries, and map interaction data for navigation purposes.
Collects precise and approximate location data for ride tracking and matching.
All SDKs listed above process data on our behalf as service providers.
Data collected by SDKs is used solely for app functionality, analytics, and service improvement.
We do not allow SDKs to use your data for independent advertising or marketing purposes.

Car Sawari is developed in Pakistan, but we use global cloud services such as Firebase and Google to operate the App.
Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed on servers located outside your country, including the United States and other jurisdictions where Google operates.
We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and that appropriate safeguards, including Google's Data Processing Terms, are in place to protect your information.
All data transmitted between the App and our servers (Firebase) is encrypted using industry-standard TLS/HTTPS protocols.
Data stored in Firestore and Firebase Storage is protected through Google's infrastructure security measures, including encryption at rest and access controls.
Only authorized personnel with confidentiality obligations can access user data for support or maintenance purposes.
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide services or comply with legal obligations.

Car Sawari provides TWO methods to delete your account and associated data.
Open the Car Sawari App.
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
Confirm deletion after reading the warning message.
Your account, profile data, ride history, and messages will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.

Transaction records may be retained if required by applicable transport or legal regulations.
When you first use location-based features, the App displays a clear prompt requesting permission to access location services. By proceeding, you consent to the collection and use of location data as described in this policy.
You can withdraw location access permission at any time by:
Settings → Apps → Car Sawari → Permissions → Location → Select “Don’t Allow”
Disabling location access will prevent ride tracking and matching features from functioning, but you may still browse rides and manage your profile.
Car Sawari is a peer-to-peer connection platform ONLY. We do NOT employ, verify, license, or endorse any driver, passenger, or rental provider listed on the App.
We do NOT conduct criminal background checks, driving record verification, vehicle inspections, or identity validation for any user.
You are solely responsible for:
Verifying the identity and reputation of users you connect with.
Inspecting vehicle condition, insurance, and registration before riding or renting.
Sharing ride details with trusted contacts and taking personal safety precautions.
Car Sawari, its developers, and affiliates shall NOT be liable for:
Accidents, injuries, theft, or property damage during rides or rentals.
Disputes, fraud, or misconduct between users.
Reliance on user-provided information, ratings, or reviews.
All ride-pooling and rental arrangements are made voluntarily and entirely at your own risk.
Car Sawari is intended only for users aged 18 years and older.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has submitted personal data, we will promptly delete the related account and information.
