I've learned in recent years that Samuel Augustus Thomas' ancestors go all the way back to Stephen Hopkins, a passenger on the Mayflower. They came to the United States from Wales.
I have very few records on Sarah Ann Ringo before the age of 18.
Her father was Abe Ringo, but we don't know her mother's name.
The 1880 census lists Eliza E. as the wife of Abe and two children are listed, Louisa Elizabeth and James J. Sarah Ann was born in 1881, so we don't know if this Eliza E. was her mother, and we don't know Eliza E.'s maiden name.
We have documentation of Sarah's marriage to Samuel Sloan Butler in December 1898 in Anderson, Texas, and the 1900 census shows her with Samuel S. Butler and one daughter, May B. Butler.
Her marriage to Samuel Augustus Thomas was 14 July 1902. They were the parents of nine children. Corbet was born in 1913 and died in 1915.
Our family's tree on Ancestry is called "Keeps On Growing." Our tree is on Family Search also.
