Holding safe, supportive space where clients can explore issues they are dealing with is what I do. My practice focus is teens and young adults. Challenges of living, depression, anxiety, and traumatic experiences are a few of the things young people seek my support for. My approach is eclectic. I work from a place that speaks to the client. I often start by providing information on just how our emotional system works. That can lead to effective body-based ways to turn down the intensity of the struggle. Once a client feels a bit more grounded and stable, we can begin to explore what’s happening at a deeper level. Exploring how the client interacts with their world, and how their world influences them can lead to important insights. Reframing our biographies and other stories we hold so that they become empowering and compassionate is completely possible.
I worked with teens and young adults in the public school system for about 20 years. I’ve worked in both general and special education, and on traditional campuses, segregated campuses and continuation programs. I've also worked with youth in juvenile detention. Now, I continue my work in a small private practice.

It is my intention to do my part to ensure that financial barriers don't become obstacles to wellbeing. I offer a free 30-minute initial meeting so that you can get a feel for whether I might be a good fit for you. After that, I offer a pay-what-you-can model when appropriate. Let's not let money be an obstacle. We'll figure it out.
