Dr Carolin Ioramashvili

I am Lecturer in Innovation Policy at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU), University of Sussex. From 2021 to 2023,  I was a research fellow at City-REDI and WM-REDI at the University of Birmingham. I got my PhD from the department of geography and environment at the London School of Economics, where I'm also a visiting fellow.  My research interests are innovation and its role for regional development, labour markets and inequality.

I will give the early career keynote lecture at the RSAI-BIS conference in Bristol in July. 

Our paper with Ray Fisman, Sergei Guriev and Alex Plekhanov on corruption and firm growth has been published in the Economic Journal!
