Animals have been a constant in my life, from an early age I was taught to appreciate wildlife and treat all animals with respect. I grew up with a family dog and was exposed to pets of all kinds through friends and family. Later, as a young teen I became responsible for caring for generations of our neighborhood feral cats in our backyard—feeding them daily and even building shelters to protect them from harsh East Coast weather.
My love of animals stayed with me throughout my career as a documentary style television producer. Over the years, I worked on a wide range of programs, many with pets and wildlife that took me to remote corners of the world to care for animals in need. Along the way I had the opportunity to collaborate with wildlife experts, animal handlers and wild life preserves across multiple continents.
Among other things, I’ve walked with cheetahs, helped baby koalas, and even released 23 rehabbed pangolins miles deep into the jungles of Vietnam; all in the name of helping those animals. Those experiences deepened my respect for animals and strengthened my patience, attentiveness, and sense of responsibility.
While I specialize in dogs, I have experience with all types of pets. My wife, Patricia, and I are currently on dogs 4 & 5 (Maxx & Lilly) but we've also had a pet love bird, turtles, mice and still have fish. :-).
My mission now, as I transition into semi-retirement, is to dedicate myself to providing dependable, compassionate care for your pets. I understand the trust it takes to leave your pet with a stranger, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I do this in Loving memory of all my passed pets.
