Carol took care of our Husky, Bentley when we had to leave town for 2 weeks when we first rescued her from the streets of downtown Los Angeles.
Bentley was a nervous wreck in those early days. Carol took great care of Bentley and made her feel at home and even sent us beautiful photos of her while we were gone.
Carol has a special love of animals and has a special way of loving and caring for them.
When we came home from our trip, Bentley was already much calmer thanks to Carol the "Husky Whisperer".

We found Carol through a neighborhood recommendation list, and entrusting her with our 4-year-old chihuahua mix, Casper, was one of the best decisions we've made!
Carol is exceptionally thorough. Before we ever left Casper in her care, she scheduled two seperate meet-and greets.
First, she came to our home alone (she has two dogs of her own) so Casper could meet her in his space and smell her dogs on her- and so her dogs could smell Casper when she returned home.
During that visit, it was immediately clear that she is a true dog whisperer. More importantly, she genuinely loves and cares about dogs. She's kind, intelligent, and fun. We ended up hanging out for quite a while :)
The second visit was at her home, where Casper met her dogs and explored both the house and the yards. One of her dogs, Maxx was a little unsure at first, as Carol affectionately calls him an "insecure alpha" :)), but there was never any aggression. He just hovered over Casper a bit to establish order. Lilly, on the other hand, loved Casper and immediately took the role of his protector.
Watching Carol handle the dogs with such calm authority and clear communication reassured us completely. They listen to her. She truly speaks dog language.

We later found out that Maxx almost immediately warmed up to Casper and was playful with him and loving to him for the whole 2 weeks stay.
During that second meeting Carol took all three for a walk (we just followed behind!). She was disciplined, confident, and attentive and the dogs got great exercise. She walks them twice a day, depending on the weather. She also asks an impressive number of detailed questions beforehand about routines, feeding times, motivations, quirks, likes and dislikes. She thought of things we hadn't even considered.
While we were traveling abroad, Carol exceeded every expectation. She created a shared photo album and uploaded beautiful pictures of Casper daily. She also kept a shared note where she logged their activities hour by hour. I was honestly blown away by the level of care and communication. It felt like luxury service.
She had asked in advance whether Casper enjoyed car rides and going places- he absolutely does- so she took him along with her to errands and meetings. He had the time of his life. He loved being with Carol so much - I was joking that he might not want to come home with us!
When we returned, we were greeted by a happy, relaxed dog. That peace of mind is priceless. Carol's love, professionalism, and attention to detail are worth every penny. We recommend her wholeheartedly. Thank you, Carol!

We have two Shiba Inus we lovingly call "The Hooligans"- and trust me, they absolutely live up to the name. They're smart, spirited, and can definitely be a handful. When a family emergency unexpectedly took us out of town, Carol stepped in at the last minute without hesitation. We were already grateful- but what she provided went far beyond basic pet sitting. Calling Carol a pet specialist almost feels like an understatement. She has an incredible instinct with dogs. Somehow, she manages to balance love, structure, play, and discipline perfectly. Our pups get long walks, healthy meals, endless games of ball in the yard, and just the right amount of attention and boundaries they need to thrive. The bigest testament? Every time we come home, our "Hooligans" are noticeably better behaved than when we left. That says everything. Carol treated Kaito with full love from start to finish. She was so considerate and concerned for his comfort. She met him twice in the days before boarding began, just to make sure everything would go smoothly. He stayed with her for a week, and every day she made time to cuddle with him, take him on walks, and played games to keep him happy and active. She even took him to meet and socialize with new friends at their house! Every single day, she sent us gorgeous, professional-quality photos of him where you could tell he was being adored. When Miso stayed with Carol, it was basically the sleepaway camp of her dreams. She got to spend time with a whole pack of dog friends, met lots of people and even go on little field trips to places she'd never been.
Miso is very attached to us, she is an only child, and can be extremely scared around other dogs, so we were blown away by how quickly she bonded with Carol and how secure she felt with her and the rest of the pack. She truly went above and beyond, not just for Miso, but for us too.
Carol took tons of amazing photos and kept everything organized in a shared album and notes file, which allowed us to check in on our girl whenever we missed her without feeling like "those" anxious dog parents.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience or a better person to take care of our girl.

Over the years, I've relied on Carol's exceptional and truly one-of-a kind pet care many times. I refuse to kennel my dogs ("furry children"). When I'm away, I want them cared for exactly as I care for them. For me, that means an experience equivalent to leaving them with trusted friend's or family.
When my pups stay with Carol it's like sending them to doggy camp! They get plenty of playtime and socialization, enjoys outings to parks and beaches, and receive the same love, attention, and affection they get at home. In fact, the moment I tell Orion and Robbie we're going to Carol's they get visibly excited- they know exactly where they're headed!
The comfort I have knowing my kids are safe, happy and so well cared for in my absence is worth every penny- and then some.

Carol was a wonder with my dogs, especially with my particularly stubborn (and way too smart for her own good German Shepherd, Rafa). Carol has a very caring nature with them, it's firm and disciplined but calm. Due to their responsiveness to her, I’m convinced she has a “secret” language that she speaks where she indicates to them that they are to look her straight in the eye and maintain eye contact. Their response to her boggles my mind.
I have particular difficulty walking my younger German Shepherd, Hazy, she is very energetic and youthful in nature, but somehow Carol is able to get her to walk calmly. She walks both dogs simultaneously with ease.
I’m still working on the ability to do so, but Carol has given me so much insight and confidence that I look forward to taking them out now. She's given me real hands on instruction that has taught my family and I so much. I continue to get advice from her regarding my dogs behaviors.
I can’t say enough about Carol’s natural instinct with animals, she’s a magnet, they just adore her and she adores them.
