I am truly blessed and fortunate to have a rising passion in both writing and painting. I am always excited by the challenge of composing a new piece, a story, a chapter, an artistic subject. Since my art school days, after many years, I have returned to my love of art. I find great joy being in my studio at my easel creating inspirational artwork. My artistic medium encompasses water colour, charcoal, oil pastel, and ink. My subject matter is mainly drawn from landscapes based on places where I have seen and visited. All of my original artwork is original and each piece is directly related to my writing. In fact my artwork comes before I write. 

I create my original art, composing each piece based on places I visited and photographed, and also how I remember the landscape. The emotion involved in circumstances of that place and then I write about it. My writing is based on hope, courage, and strength in the face of adversity. I  attempt to mirror and convey these similar messages of hope, courage, inspiration and strength in my original artwork. As my pieces relate to my writing they are done as a series of themes so that they connect with each other. I paint each original piece as a symphony of colour, intensity, and emotion. I begin each art piece by sorting through my original photos, often taking me outdoors to absorb nature, to make preliminary sketches, and decisions of composition and colour. I also sketch and paint in my studio. I'm inspired by nature, finding peace and joy in the beauty of God's great earth.
