Most of the work that I have done is all in broadcast journalism but I have still found other creative outlets. I have interest in social media design but I don't get the opportunity to do it often. For a little bit, however, I was able to design some posts for social media to be shared on our school's broadcast program's instagram @codebluehmhs.
The first graphic that I created was a moving graphic for the volleyball team's first game day. I was experimenting and trying to gain some more knowledge on how to use social media to benefit communities and groups.
Continuing to create more graphics, I created more that were similar to this for the volleyball team as their season progressed. I continued to do this until my schedule was too full to continue and someone else took on the project.
Another idea I had was a senior video for the end of the year. I created a graphic with a qr code that links to a google form that allows people to share photos and videos into a google drive. With everything that is sent in, I plan to edit together a senior video to post at the end of the year.
Not having time for many graphics, I focused mainly on the graphics to share the school lunch on our instagram every morning. I started with a basic template on Canva for inspiration but over time grew my skills so that I could create a new graphic that matched our brand a little bit better.
