Carmen Payne-Mann
Ph.D. Candidate, University of Southern California
My name is Carmen Payne-Mann, and I am a doctoral candidate in accounting at the University of Southern California's Leventhal School of Accounting. Before joining USC, I earned my B.S. in Accounting from BYU (summa cum laude), where I also completed the school's Accounting Ph.D. Prep Program. I then went on to earn a Master of Accounting from Florida State University. My research examines the intersection of accounting disclosure and capital markets, with a primary focus on mandatory investor disclosure, corporate governance, and the use of accounting information for financial statement analysis.
