My name is Carmen Payne-Mann, and I am an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University of Colorado Boulder Leeds School of Business. Before joining CU, I earned my B.S. in Accounting from BYU (summa cum laude), where I also completed the school's Accounting Ph.D. Prep Program. I then went on to earn a Master of Accounting from Florida State University and a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California. My research examines the intersection of accounting disclosure and capital markets, with a primary focus on mandatory investor disclosure, corporate governance, and the use of accounting information for financial statement analysis.
