About Me

I am currently a 4th-year accounting Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Southern California. I will be on the job market in the 2025-2026 school year. Before falling in love with research and academia, I was heavily invested in the venture capital space. After competing in (and winning) multiple undergraduate VC competitions, working for two startups, working as a team leader for the Impact Investing internship at the BYU Ballard Center, and assisting in teaching an introductory impact investing course,  I decided that I wanted to become an accounting researcher. I haven't regretted the decision since.

I am originally from the base of the Wasatch Mountain Range in Utah but have also lived in Hawaii, Florida, and California.  Spending time in all these places, I fell in love with the outdoors. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, skiing, playing volleyball, attempting to surf, exploring national parks, and anything else I can find to do outdoors.
