This is our tentative gym space schedule for teams practicing:
Coaches will be prescreened, then selected to interview in the fall prior to season starting.

This is only for our Lady Pups & selected coaching staff.
CDC and Carmel Lady Pups basketball prides itself on being lead and coached by highly-experienced parent volunteers.
Our skill development focused practices are there to better serve our coaches to better serve our girls and help them focus on our basketball big 4: Skills, Drills, Concepts and Competition.
Coaches basic expectations:

Hold parent meeting to start your season with your team [Set clear expecations & lines of communication]
Attend practices & games - expect players to do the same
Utilize a prepared - written/printed practice plan
Adhere/align with CHS Coaching expectations (Offense/Defense/Drills/Fundamentals)
Keeping communication with families up to date.
Ability to verbally coach, set high expectations and set & implement consequences as needed [behavior management]
24 Hour Rule
Utilize Pups yearly theme - ex: "BE FIRST."
Identify Pups Players of the Month - submit in a timely manner
Attend and expect your players to attend CHS and Pups events outside of games/practice
Sign out any basketballs and ensure they are returned at end of season.
Limit canceling and changing practice and game dates/times - and communicate this with Commissioner.
Use Pups Instagram/Twitter and Web page [Post & share images & highlights - Drills/Skills]
Maintain player/parent confidentiality
Be a team player as a coach - work with other Pups coaches and players as needed
Contribute to fundamental grade-level training practices
Schedule & register for an out-of-league tournament for your team [in an advance and prompt manner] - Submit to commissioner for approval and payment or reimbursement.
Keep team records and important details to speak on your team at end of season
Contact Pups commissioner as soon as there is an issue
