Where is my data stored?
All of your records are stored locally on your device. CARLOG does not use a cloud account, so your data is not synced between devices and is not stored on our servers.
How do I back up my data?
Because your data is stored on your device, it is included in your device's normal backup. CARLOG itself does not sync your data to any cloud service. Pro users can also export their records from the app.
How many vehicles can I add for free?
The free version supports up to 3 vehicles with full logging and dashboards. Pro Lifetime unlocks unlimited vehicles.
What is the difference between Pro Lifetime and Managed AI?
Pro Lifetime is a one time purchase that unlocks unlimited vehicles, data export, and advisor tools, and lets you use your own Claude API key. Managed AI is a subscription that provides the AI advisor without needing your own key, billed monthly or yearly.
How do I use my own Claude API key?
After purchasing Pro Lifetime, open Settings in the app and enter your Anthropic API key. You can create a key from your Anthropic account.
I already paid. How do I restore my purchase?
Open the upgrade screen in the app and tap Restore. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy.
How do I change units like miles or gallons?
CARLOG detects a sensible default for your region when you add your first vehicle. You can change distance units, fuel units, and currency in the app.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your device, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose CARLOG, and cancel. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Does the AI feature share my data?
A summary of your vehicle and cost data is sent to the Claude AI provider only when you actively request an AI insight. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete individual records in the app, reset all data from Settings, or delete the app to remove its local data from your device.
