Teaching
I teach Cosmology, Linear Cosmological Perturbations, Cosmic Microwave Background Anisotropies. In Cosmology, I focus on the homogeneous and isotropic expanding cosmological model, describing the Inflation, and the thermal history through the Radiation, Matter and Dark Energy dominated Eras (RDE, MDE DEE). Linear Cosmological Perturbations (LCPs) are classified in General Relativity (GR), and the main aspects of their dynamics is described, in order to understand the properties of the Linear Power Spectrum of density perturbations at present in relation to the evolution through the EDE, MDE, DEE and its connection with the Inflationary mechanism of generation of inhomogeneities. Cosmic Microwave Anisotropies are described in polarization and total intensity, describing their link to LCPs, dynamics through the Boltzmann equation, statistics, power spectra and description of their effects from metric and stress energy sources, along with the current status of observations and forthcoming challenges. All Courses are Based on General Relativity (GR), and elements from Classical and Quantum Field Theory (CFT, QFT). See here for a description of the PhD Course I'm teaching at SISSA.Â
