I was born in Carrara, Tuscany, Italy, on June 5th, 1968. I am father of Giorgio Peter, born in Berkeley, California, in the United States of America, on June 30th, 2002, and Marcello Matthias, born in Cavalese, Trentino Alto Adige, in Italy, on December 15th, 2003.

I've studied in Pisa, Rome, Ferrara, Chicago, worked in Berkeley, Chicago, Ferrara, Frankfurt, Garching bei Munchen, Heidelberg, Krakov, London, Milano, Minneapolis, New York, Paris, Pisa, Rome, Varsavia, and many other places. I am now a full professor at SISSA, the International School for Advanced Studies in Trieste, Italy. My research interests are Theory, Analysis and Interpretation of Cosmological and Astrophysical Observations concerning the Cosmic Microwave Background and Large Scale Structure.
