I’m a handsome 15.1 hand standardbred.  I own this place. I’ve been here since the beginning and I plan on staying till the end.  I get 2 square meals a day, hay 24/7 and some really good pasture.  

Everyone looks up to me.  A few years ago I cut a tendon in my leg and I almost died a few times, but now I’m completely healed.  

Losing Sky was the worst day of my life.  But now I have to take the reins and protect this farm.  

My favourite things: hanging out with my buddies, walking around the track with my mom, and playing around with Gris. 

I’m Binks’ bro.  We look like each other but I have a white sock and some white on my forehead.  We knew each other on the racetrack. I was really out of sorts and wasn’t a great guy to be around when I first came here.  I was angry at the world….well, humans.  Things got better…I haven’t been locked in a stall or pulled a cart since!  I’m smart and intuitive and kind deep down.  

My favourite things: hanging with Binks and my girlfriend Jess, nibbling my mom’s hand, feeling safe, I also like getting Charlie riled up. My unfavourite thing is that dog Cole…he chased Jess so I kicked him.  maybe:  when he chased Jess, I let him know that wasn't cool.??

I arrived at the farm having a hard time walking and in a lot of pain.  I felt beaten down.  No one ever wanted me for very long or made me feel special.  I was in one place, then moved to another and another. Then I came here and I finally found some friends for the first time in my life.  I have lots of hay and good mushy food and a LOT of freedom to roam.  Grissini has a huge crush on me, I’m ok with that.  

My favourite things are head massages from my mom, wandering wherever I want, soaking up the sun, and watching the cows from a distance.

Hi, I’m in my early to mid 30s, I don’t really know.  I’m a standardbred but a bit smaller than the boys. I worked all my life with a buggy stuck to me and then I was taken from standing in a field with no food or water and brought to this place where I eat ANY time I want and I don’t have to trot on scary roads. When someone new comes I get to hang out with them first before anyone else.  I’m that kinda guy.  I love Charlie and Binks; it's so great to have real friends.

My favourite things: eating mushy food, trotting to the back pastures, getting laser therapy on my sore leg, and eating grass in the pond.

I’m a very striking, dazzling, whitish standardbred mare. I’m really tall, too.  My name used to be Alice but there was a little cat with the same name, so now I'm called Tilda and I think it really suits me. 

I had many babies who were all taken away from me and then I was put in a pen with a lot of other horses. It was crowded and everyone was sore and scared. I was taken out of there and went to a place with some donkeys. I was very unhappy. 

Then, I was brought here where I can go wherever I want and I know I’ll never leave… Binks told me. I’m slowly starting to not mind Binks being in love with me. I like eating grass in the pasture, but at night I need to be in the arena; I feel safe there.

My favourite things: getting scratched and massaged, hanging in the arena with Binks, and nibbling Stan because he loves it.  

Some would call me the king of the minis…I’d say that’s accurate.  I’m really cool and I have these awesome blue eyes.  I am white and brown and I have Cushings disease, but it doesn’t bug me.  I had really sore hooves for a long time, but my mom tried everything to help me, and I’m feeling better.  I’m very smart and handsome and an all around great guy. 

My favourite things: doing whatever I want whenever I want, hanging out with my buddies, playing games. 

What is not my favourite: Willie hanging on my every word, he needs to be around me ALL the time!

I’m about half the size of Binks but I’m actually a draft horse, real big and real strong.  Chester and I are good buds and now Freddie’s pretty fun to tease and hang out with.  I had no friends before and stayed in a garage for a long time, but now I get to go anywhere I want…sometimes I walk in the forest.  My dad thinks I’m a wild child. I love running everywhere and the food’s pretty great here. 

My favourite things: chillin’ with the big guys, walking around the track, being groomed and intimidating the donkeys.

Or as my mom calls me, "Mavs".  I was the first mini here so I think I’m cooler than Tucks.  I’m younger too.  I was pretty frisky when I came and kept running away from everyone…. it made me laugh.  I’m more mature now and love doing cool tricks. People mix Timbit and I up but I have nicer hair and I’m definitely thinner.  Timbit wishes he had hair like me.  

My favourite things:  making my mom look for me all over the property, being on the track with my buddies, and watching Stan and Willie play and eating!

I have the best smile here and I smile a lot because I feel happy and joyful.  I love my food and everyone else’s, especially the cow’s. They bugged me at first but now I think they’re funny.  I love when I’m included in everything because everyone loves me. I’m a little too chubby but I think it looks good on me.  I’m big boned.  Mavs and I are like twins. 

My favourite things:  saying hi to everyone who comes to visit, making people give me treats when I smile, playing with Mavs, Tucker and sometimes Charlie (I gotta admit -he intimates me).

My name was Murry before and now I’m Duke. I’m a 10 yr old Clyde/thoroughbred cross.  I like my new name a lot.  I’ve had a few firsts here….my first donkey, my first mini horse and my first cow…..Carl and Brandi are the weirdest looking creatures…I almost jumped out of my skin when I saw them staring at me!  I also learned what a hill was.  I'd only ever walked on flat ground.  Now, I love walking up hills and wandering through trees, who knew willow was so yummy?!   I have a lot of new friends, Billy, Sy, Chester (well….he’ll be my buddy as soon as he gets over my big body). And little Gloria, she is so fiesty, I think she has a crush on me.  My mission is to make everyone, even Binks and Grissini, like me. 

My favourite things: 

I may be old but I have a LOT of life in me. I’m a 30+ yr old quarter horse. My knees hurt, my coat is itchy, and I’m skinny….but I get fed a lot and I savour every bite and mom is doing lots to help me (re: itchy skin and sore knees).  Billy isn’t so clinging now that we are in our new home (mention that they came together?), maybe because he has a new big friend, Duke.  

I think I’ll like it here with my new people.  My mom hangs out with me a lot and talks to me.  There’s so much to see when I walk up the hill and explore.  I know I’ll feel a lot better soon and start moving around more easily.  I’m happy she hasn’t climbed on top of me to walk around.  I used to have to do that and it was really tiring.  My new mom has promised me that I’ll never leave here.

My favourite things:  

I’m an 18 yr old quarter horse.  It’s great here!  I don’t have to put that big saddle on my back!  Duke is my best friend.  I liked him the first day he got here.  My mom said, "why don’t you hang out with the big fella and tell him about this place?"  I jumped on that and it was just the 2 of us for a bit!  We are now all together and I’m slowly getting more comfortable with the others.  Tilda is AMAZING. 

Sy is still my soulmate and we will always be together but she’s making new friends, too.  My feet still hurt and my eyes are still goopy, but I love that I get warm mushy food here and as much hay as I want.  The best feeling in the world was when my new mom said that I get to stay here forever.

My favourite things: 

Hi.  I’m a little horse.  I’m 23 and have brown hair and brown eyes.  Where I used to live, I had a friend and a daughter who died this year. I also was close to a goat who died. I was really sad and lonely.  I was around a LOT of pigs. I loved my people, but they found this place for me that has more animals like me.  I like wandering around the paths and following everyone.  There’s this huge horse, Duke…. he is sooooo handsome!  I just love him.  I also like Maverick, he looks like me.  I’m planning on staying here for a long time.
