I am a gorgeous chestnut mare with so many amazing qualities that we’d need a sequel to list them all. I run this herd. Everyone knows it. My mom practically worships me—she says I’m the smartest, most perfect horse she’s ever met. And honestly? I have to agree.

I’ve made lots of friends here, and I’m confident they’ve learned a few things from me. My mom sure did. She used to get all dramatic about trimming until I hit her with my classic “Oh, get over yourself” look.   And, it worked!  Every day brings peace and joy.  I have everything I need right here.

My favourite things:  running around the track with everyone.  jumping and bucking when spring rolls around.  Grooming Parker and Binks.

Sky and I were the earth mothers of this place, and I miss her every day. I’m a very attractive miniature donkey in my late 30s—yes, I’m aging beautifully. Frida has a bit of that earth‑mother energy too, though I suspect she’s starting to lose the plot a bit.

Patrick, my son, and I were the first donkeys here. My mom had so much to learn about us, but luckily I’m an excellent teacher. My teeth aren’t great at grinding hay anymore, so I get soft, mushy meals whenever I want. Honestly, I adore it here. I get brushed often, fed often, and admired constantly.

My favourite things include wandering around the farm with Patty, giving excellent hugs, getting groomed and massaged, and—of course—sitting on my mom. It’s important to keep her grounded.

 My name was Kiely and then Frida.. after an artist who had really bushy eyebrows like me. I have super long ears.  When I came here I was really weak and had bugs all over me. I was given medication and lots of attention and then I started to feel better.

It’s true, I sometimes feel slightly ‘off’ mentally. But I’ve got my shit together, I may be old but I’m no quitter.  I loved eating all the trees my  mom planted and I love chewing willow bark.  

My favourite things: lots of food…all the time….I love brushes…all the time..and affection..a lot. I also love spending quality time with my daughter Sophie.

The day I arrived here, I was a bit skeptical....what's with all of these minis running after me and asking me a million questions?  Yes, I was popular from the beginning.  I told a lot of stories about my past...I remember going around and around in circles with little people wiggling around on top of me.  I was happy to get out of that situation.  I feel peaceful every day now and I'm free to walk through the trees and nibble everything in my path without having to do something or be somewhere.

My favourite things:  I love wandering around alone, sometimes I like the company of Tucker and Maverick, exploring all of the different plants and small creatures.  My food was THE BEST and all I had to do was give my mom that look and she would feed me more.  I didn't have many teeth so it was always mushy.   

I am a tall thoroughbred, same colour as Chester, a blood bay. 

I was locked in a stall for months and I almost died until someone saved me.  When I got better and gained weight, I had an operation so I could hang out with the others at my new farm.  Now I feel like I have friends for the first time in my life.  And I finally have a personality! 

When I met Sky she was the most incredible creature I had ever met. She was my whole world. She died and I really miss her.  

My favourite things; hanging out with Tilda now, getting groomed by my mom and galloping around the track with my buddies.  Charlie likes to think he's as fast as me.  The food is really good. Life rocks here! And I don’t like being chased by Cole!
