About me

I am an economic historian. I first became interested in economic history studies while earning my Master of Macroeconomic Policy and Financial Markets at Sapienza University of Rome. I was fascinated by the study on the great divergence and by how economic historians try to explain the reason why there are still differences today in development and inequality between countries or regions.

For this reason, I decided to do my master thesis on the real wage divergence in Italy during the liberal age (1861-1921). Next, I applied and got accepted to the European PhD in socio-economic and statistical studies, and I am currently working on my PhD dissertation, which looks at the causes of innovation in a historical perspective.

I am one of the organizer of the YSI-EHES Graduate Webinar in Economic History  and a Student Ambassador for the Economic History Society.
