For many years I saw the way in which business and strategy consultants extracted knowledge and narrowed goals to create coherent and logical strategies. They looked good on paper but intuition told me had little potential for impact. How might we change the nature of strategy development and design for equity and impact?
If you are a person of color and work in philanthropy, you likely have a love/hate relationships with it. I did. You're never quite comfortable; yet you lead important work. You finally have a seat at the table. You know you have more work to do. How might we change the way philanthropy works?
I was fortunate to have leaders in my life that valued my creativity and encouraged me to find my superpowers and use them for good. Picasso said: The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away. How might we help more women find their gift and give it away?
