THE I-9 HAS TWO SECTIONS, SEE BELOW:
An email sent from notifications@empforce.com will be sent to your preferred email for your completion of Section 1.With the subject line 'New Hire Paperwork: Form I-9 Paperwork for RFCUNY'. You must complete this prior to attending your scheduled orientation.
Note, for international students: Work Auth. Expiration date in Section 1 of the I-9 should match the expiration date on the I-20

Section 2 is completed during your orientation with the Career Launch Personnel Team. This process determines your employment eligibility.

Upon completing both sections of your I-9 with a coordinator. E-Verify will determine based on the documents provided. If you're legally authorized to begin working, then you will receive the below confirmation:

I am an international student/employee, is my onboarding process different?
Yes! And we can only begin your onboarding process if you have a Social Security Number. If you do not or awaiting for one, onboarding will not begin until you received your Social Security Card.
The documents you'll need:
Employment Authorization Card and Social Security Card OR
Foreign Passport, I-20, I-94, and Employment Verification Letter
-To obtain an Employment Verification Letter (FSVF letter) visit the International Student Office at your campus
Work Authorization Expiration Date in I-9 section 1 should match your work authorization card or the end date on your I-20
What is my RF CUNY employee ID number?
Your CUNY EMPLID is different from your RF CUNY employee ID.
7900F1 is NOT an RF ID# it is the RF code for Student Interns.
If you don't know what your RF CUNY ID # is please email CareerLaunchPay@cuny.edu with the subject line, "What is my ID#" with your first and last name.
For example: "What is my ID?" John Doe.
