Resources and Support

Diverse Geologists - Diverse Geologists is an international, collaborative vision to see greater representation of marginalized individuals in geoscience. Many of us benefit from various privileges (i.e. race, gender, mobility, physical/mental health, socioeconomic class, citizenship, etc.) that have undoubtedly contributed to our success stories. It is our responsibility to uplift the voices of the unheard and commit to permanent action in advocating for their leadership.

Black Science Coalition and Institute - B-SCI was established in 2019 to encourage black and underrepresented communities to engage in science. We are deeply saddened by the continuous display of systematic racism and police brutality that has affected these communities.

Geoscience Empowerment Network - GEN is committed to increase diversity within the geoscience community and to foster equity, inclusion, and justice for everyone in the geosciences. Here, you will find a list of resources on DEI(&Justice) issues in the geosciences, in STEM and academia, teaching and mentoring in the K-12 and collegiate levels, as well as resources for self-education on broader DEI issues not limited to the geoscience community. While many of these issues are highlighted by current and on-going events within the United States, these resources are applicable to a broad global audience. Many links are to living, continually-updated documents or Box folders in the hopes that these resources will be of use as the geoscience community progresses toward a more inclusive environment.

Black Geoscientists - BlackGeoscientists.com is a space where we  can voice our experiences, views, and opinions on being black in a geological world. As well as celebrate what has been accomplished, and shed a light on our community.

Earth Science Women's Network - We are a grassroots, non-profit, member driven organization. Our mission is to build a resilient community that lifts all scientists and moves the geosciences forward.
