I like it a lot! We often struggle the keep track of the score without it.I would like it you could set the maximum points from the watch itself at the start of the session, instead of doing so via the IQ store or garmin express.

ClimbPro has been around for cycling for a while, and now we have it for the hiking activity too. At first I thought it was a bit of a gimmick, but I've grown to enjoy the ClimbPro screen on my mountain hikes. ClimbPro only works when you create a route in Garmin Connect or on the Fenix 6 itself. It automatically segments out notable climbs on the route and displays them as a data screen on the hike. Unfortunately you can't select your own climbs but the automatic selection is pretty good.

Okay so ive had a problem for a long time with my heart rate data not showing on my posts altough everything is connected proprerly. And even on my garmin connect data is shown but on strava its not and ive checked my privacy setting and everything seem to be public so i dont know what could be wrong. If you got any suggestions please leave them in comments. Thank you.

Can you check to see if you have granted Strava consent to process and store your health-related data which includes heart rate data. If you'd like Strava to collect and process health data for future activities you can change your permission settings before your next upload. Unfortunately, our team won't be able to add health-related data back to any activities uploaded while Strava did not have permission to store this data.

Thanks to you both for posting and sorry to hear the heart rate data still isn't working for you. I'm going to ask you each to please submit a support ticket and our support team will work work directly with you to investigate further.

Last Saturday data from a run synced automatically with Strava and HR info appeared in the Analysis. Today I used the Rival for a cycle activity. After automatic syncing with Strava, in place of HR info I get the link 'how to add your heart data'. I've verified that access is allowed for health related data. In Wahoo's Elemnt app the HR info displays correctly (I prefer the Strava version ). I deleted the Strava activity and reloaded the cycle file to Strava from the Elemnt app - same outcome - HR info not displayed.

3 days ago Strava started to ignore HR data on my uploads. The problem is there regardless of iPhone, Wahoo element or direct file- all with HR data present. The permissions page mentioned by Jane (moderator) shows my HR data as permission denied. I'm unable to correct this when selecting the 'allow' button, instead it loops back round to permissions denied. If I try to upload a file directly it tells me at the upload stage HR data will not be present because of the permissions. Why it started suddenly and why I can't change the permission is the issue?

There's also the "hard reset", which clears all the data mentioned above, plus any knowledge of what satellites are nearby, and probably another thing or two as well that I haven't though of. It actually resets the internal computer, and it can be useful sometimes for clearing up a "brain fart".

I can answer now my own question. It is NOT possible to access the recorded data automatically unless you pay the $5,000 for the Garmin API licence (this is soooo ridiculous Garmin!!!). The Connect IQ Mobile SDK approach will NOT do this job, confirmed by the Garmin Support Team.

The only way to get your data is by manually downloading the FIT or TCX file from . Keep in mind though that the Running Dynamics (which are captured and calculated by the HRM-Run sensor) are NOT included in these files!

This is a very big disappointment Garmin! In which century are you guys still living? The data generated by the user belongs to the user and it should be easy accessible! Keeping the data locked in your safe will not really attract more users to the connect platform... But time will tell.

I was wondering if there's a way to sync or import my huawei health data to garmin connect? I have 3 years worth of running data, steps, calories burned, distanced walked etc. on huawei health that I'd rather not lose if I were to purchase a garmin watch and swap to the Garmin ecosystem. I tried health sync, but it doesn't support huawei health.

If you have data stored on your Garmin or Magellan handheld GPS device, connect your device to your computer using your USB or Serial port connector, and turn on the device. This will be the data you use for the next section.

You will also want some GPS data with which to experiment later in the tutorial. Download the sample dataset by right-clicking and saving the file GPS_track_Save-the-Elephants.gpx to your computer. These data have been shared by Save the Elephants, and are for use for this tutorial.

Data imported from a GPS handheld device can be animated because it has time stamps (date and time) of when it was collected by the GPS device. Simply select the GPS data in the Places panel, and click Play on the Time Controls.

Save your GPS data to a KML file by right-clicking on your GPS data folder in the Places panel, and selecting Save Place As... or select the GPS device data in the Places panel, go to the File menu, and select Save Place As...

You can also get data from your GPS device in real time. For example, if you go out in the field with your laptop, you can view your current location live on Google Earth. From the GPS Import dialog box, select the _ Real Time_ tab to see options for viewing live data. You'll need to make sure that your GPS device is connected and streaming data using one of the supported protocols (NMEA is the most common). Before you disconnect your laptop from the internet and go out in the field, be sure to use Google Earth to fly to and view the places you'll be visiting so that the relevant imagery is saved in the cache on your hard drive.

If you have GPS data stored in a GPX or other type of file, you can open it in Google Earth. Also, if you have a GPS device for which Google Earth does not support direct connections, but which can export data to a file, you can still view your GPS data in Google Earth. Read the instructions that came with your GPS device for exporting data from your device to a file on your computer. You can also use third-party software like GPS Babel to download the GPX file to your computer. 2351a5e196
