CAPTURE CAMPBELL 2022
Campbell's Youth Photo Contest was sheltering in place for the past two years, but it is back and we cannot wait to see your photos! Contest has been extended through December 31st, 2022.
A photo contest for the youth of Campbell, CA brought to you by the Civic Improvement Commission
Inspiring youth to engage and view their community through a new lens and showing residents what Campbell looks like through our youth’s eyes . . .
Three age groups:·
Ages 10 & under
Ages 11 – 14
Ages 15 -1 8
Three themes/categories:
Outdoor/nature (i.e. scenery, trees, flowers, sunrise)
Campbell Life (capture things that residents do - read, bike, shop, laugh, play, dance)
Architecture (i.e. buildings or details of a home or building, bricks, bridges)
Judging:
Judging will be completed by panel selection (4-5 local photography professionals). Judging will be based on the following criteria:
Impact and Creativity: evoking feeling, imagination, and conveying an idea
Style and Composition: use of light and other elements to capture attention
Technical Excellence: sharpness, exposure, color balance, lighting, and posing
Presentation and Theme: showcasing your image consistent with the theme
Prizes:
First place prizes will be awarded in each category. Finalists will be notified and invited to the Civic Improvement Commission meeting where the winners will be announced.
Eligibility:
Entrants must be 18 years of age or younger and must live or attend school in Campbell.
Timeframe:
Photo submissions will be accepted March 1 - December 31st, 2022
Requirements/Rules:
All photos must be taken in the city of Campbell.
All photos must be submitted in .JPEG digital format with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi, and must be a single photo (no collages).
All photos must be taken in a public place.
Entries must include name, email address, location of photo, and device used.
Winners limited to one first-place prize per person.

Start snapping right away and choose your best shot for an appropriate category above. When you are ready to submit, fill out the submission form below with a parent or guardian (if under 18). Parent/guardian permission is required for all contestants under 18.
