A photo contest for the youth of Campbell, CA brought to you by the Civic Improvement Commission

Inspiring youth to engage and view their community through a new lens and showing residents what Campbell looks like through our youth’s eyes . . . 

Three age groups:     

Ages 10 & under

Ages 11 – 14

Ages 15 -1 8

Each student can submit up to 3 photos!

Eligibility:

Entrants must be 18 years of age or younger and must live or attend school in Campbell.

Timeframe:

Photo submissions will be accepted August 1, 2026 - February 28, 2027.

Requirements/Rules:

• All photos must be taken in the city of Campbell.

• All photos must be submitted in .JPEG digital format with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi, and must be a single photo (no collages).

• All photos must be taken in a public place.

• Entries must include name, email address, location of photo, and device used.

• Winners limited to one first-place prize per person.

• Photos can be taken with a phone or camera

How to Enter:

Start snapping right away and choose your best shot(s) for an appropriate category above. When you are ready to submit, fill out the submission form below with a parent or guardian (if under 18). Parent/guardian permission is required for all contestants under 18.

Judging:

Judging will be completed by panel selection (2-5 local photography professionals). Judging will be based on the following criteria:

• Impact and Creativity: evoking feeling, imagination, and conveying an idea

• Style and Composition: use of light and other elements to capture attention

• Technical Excellence: sharpness, exposure, color balance, lighting, and posing

Prizes:

One winner in each age group. Finalists will be notified and invited to the Civic Improvement Commission meeting with a short reception where the winners will be announced.

Submissions will be accepted August 1, 2026 - February 28, 2027.
