Unit 3 Focus- Multiplication and Division

In this unit we will use a variety of representations to show multiplication and division situations. Students should be able to recognize whether a problem should be thought of as a multiplication or a division situation depending on how it is written. 

Math Facts: 

Each Tuesday , we will have a fact quiz over the assigned fact for the week.  The quizzes will NOT be timed until all facts have been quizzed (usually around February).  It is very important that your child be fluent when knowing facts.  They need to know the answer quickly...not drawing pictures, using fingers, etc.  A schedule of upcoming quizzes will be in your child's PAWS binder.
