Unit 2- Use Place Value to Fluently Add and Subtract within 1,ooo.

Students will expand their understanding of place value, addition, and subtraction learned in previous grades. They will explore:

*Place value-representing three digit numbers using standard form, expanded form, and word form.

*Round multi-digit numbers to the nearest 10 and 100.

*Addition and Subtraction- Use strategies to add and subtract within 1,000.

Math Facts: 

Each Tuesday , we will have a fact quiz over the assigned fact for the week.  The quizzes will NOT be timed until all facts have been quizzed (usually around February).  It is very important that your child be fluent when knowing facts.  They need to know the answer quickly...not drawing pictures, using fingers, etc.  A schedule of upcoming quizzes will be in your child's PAWS binder.
