In 1989, Debuted as a composer with ‘Paper Soldier’ by Ayumi Nakamura (track from the album ‘KIDS BLUE’). Also provided songs for Naomi Hosokawa (‘Who Knows the Spring of Fifteen?’). Through arranging work for Satoshi Kishida / Mirai RAIL Okayama (Okayama City Centenary Song), became a production director for the Yamaha Music Foundation, overseeing projects for Miho Morikawa (‘Passionate Eyes’, ‘HALLOW’, “solista”), Hiroko Taniyama (‘Sky Song Collection’), and Hiroko Soma (‘What Love Taught Me’).
In 1998, he transferred to Yamaha Hong Kong. His vocal production for actor Leslie Cheung (Marshmallow) gained acclaim, leading to a request from then-top Hong Kong idol Gigi Leung to participate in her album (Good Timing). The album's title track ‘Good Timing’ won the 2000 Golden Melody Awards First Quarter Hit Song Award, becoming a major talking point. Other credits include the Asian local edition of CHAGE & ASKA's ‘Duet Angle’ and the production of ‘Ballistic Kiss’ (Music: Yukie Nishimura) starring Donnie Yen.
After returning to Japan, following a stint in sales at a record company, he undertook the theme renewal for TBS's ‘World's Mysterious Discoveries’ programme in 2005, the G9+1 short animation ‘TOKYO FANTASIA’, the 2009 64th National Sports Festival Tokimeki Niigata National Sports Festival image song (Be a Frenzied Wind), and the music production for the 2011 Japan Sports Association and Japan Olympic Committee Centenary Commemorative Reception (venue: Hiten, Shinagawa Takanawa Prince Hotel). He also planned and produced the classical concert ‘Joint Concert’ featuring Yurie Miura (Piano) and Mutsuki Watanabe (Electone) at Yamaha Hall in 2011.
Established Capriccio Music in 2013 and became independent. Commenced master recording and digital sales through its own label (Capriccio Music Records), including works by Aki Okui (Trophy). Released original catalogues including the game ‘Olympia Soirée’ theme song CD ‘ENA / Olympia Soirée Theme SONGS (2020)’ and the digital album ‘Nostalgic New Japanese Songs (Vocals: Mariko, Aki Okui, Davy Bergier) (2022)’.
As a composer, he formed the music production unit Capriccio Project with his long-time collaborator Shinya Naito in 2016. Releases include the original CDs Capriccio Project / Capriccio Music Library Vol.1 & Vol.2 (2019) and the game soundtrack CD Cupid Parasite LosYork DREAM (2020). Most recently, he has been active as a lyricist for children's songs on YouTube (Shimajiro Channel) (2021–2024), and composing BGM (titled "Shikisou Sekai") for the game "Olympia Soirée Catharsis (2025)".
His motto is ‘Sound production that conveys emotion through vivid sound!’ His dream is to plan and produce classical music CDs!!
