Born on 19 October 1971 in Itami City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Joined the choir club at primary school, awakening an interest in singing, and began writing lyrics and composing music from the third year of junior high school.
In the first year of high school, submitted her first completed song to an audition but was unsuccessful. However, a director who heard the song took an interest and discovered her, guiding her towards a professional career.
Debuted on 28 November 1993 with the single ‘Gin no Supune de’ (With a Silver Spoon) via Warner Music Japan. From the year after her debut, she hosted the regular radio programme JFN ‘Mantan MUSIC’, serving as the Thursday personality for three years. She herself remarked, ‘My energetic Kansai dialect character was cultivated on this programme. I feel it even changed my personality.’ She also performed numerous TV anime theme songs. Her first work, the ED & OP themes for “Mahoujin Guruguru” – ‘Wind Climbing ~Played by the Wind~’ and ‘Hare te Hareruya’ – became her signature songs.
She took a hiatus from activities for approximately three years from 1998. Singing the ending theme ‘Tsuki no Mayu’ for the TV anime “∀ Gundam” prompted her return to the music scene.
In 2001, she released the single ‘Daijyu’ (Big Tree). In spring 2003, she released the album ‘DENIMUM’, laying the foundation for her subsequent activities.
From 2004, she began focusing her activities on the one-man live event ‘Uta no Moto’ (The Essence of Song), featuring a guitar, piano, and vocal line-up.
From 2010 onwards, she became involved in anime music for a new generation, including the TV anime ‘Pokémon: Best Wishes!’.
2012 Released the album ‘OPENER’, packed with the BEST of the anime music he had worked on plus new songs.
2016 As a milestone marking the halfway point of her life, She obtained his driving licence.
2019 On 14 July, ‘Uta no Moto’ reached its 50th performance.
On 1 December 2019, released the digital single ‘Kansai-fu’ via Capriccio Music Records.

On 24 December 2022, Participated as a vocalist on the digitally released album ‘Nostalgic, New Japanese Songs’. Performed the tracks ‘Zui Zui Zukkorobashi’ and ‘Kono Michi’.
