The school debate club is a place where students can come together and explore their interests in public speaking and critical thinking. Whether you're an experienced debater or just starting out, there's a place for you in this club. Members have the opportunity to hone their skills, learn about current events and issues, and collaborate with their peers. It's a supportive and welcoming environment where students can express their opinions and have their voices heard. If you're interested in joining the club, don't hesitate to reach out. Mock debates
Students can practice their debating skills by participating in mock debates on a variety of topics. These can be formal debates with set rules, or more informal discussions where students can share their opinions and ideas.
Public speaking exercises
Students can practice their public speaking skills by giving speeches or presentations. They can work on their delivery, pacing, and other aspects of effective public speaking.
Current events discussions
The club can hold discussions on current events and issues, allowing students to learn about the world around them and share their opinions.
Debate tournaments
The club can participate in debate tournaments against other schools or organizations. These can be formal debates with set rules or more informal discussions.
Speech writing
Students can learn how to write effective speeches and presentations. They can work on crafting compelling arguments, using strong language, and organizing their ideas.
