We believe that there are no strangers, just friends we haven’t met yet. Our prayer is that our service is a source of blessing and encouragement to you. Our style of worship takes many forms. Our Heritage

Capiz Evangelical Church is the first Baptist Church in Capiz. Her existence was the result of the American Baptist Mission in the Philippines. She is located at the center of the city in Roxas Avenue, Roxas City. She has more than 600 members and more or less 1,000 worshippers. She has 3 worship services: two in the morning and one in the afternoon. She is a member of Capiz Kasapulanan of Baptist Churches (CKBC) and the Convention of Philippine Baptist Churches (CPBC). As early as 1898 the gospel already reached her founders but the church was formally founded in 1904 when 36 persons were baptized and formed a church.

The CPBC Statement of Faith

We believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of the heavens and the earth and all creatures visible and invisible.

We believe in Jesus Christ, His one and only Son, our LORD and Savior; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of Mary, lived and preached the Kingdom of God, crucified, died, and buried, and on the third day was raised from the dead; He ascended into heaven and sits on the right hand of the Father Almighty.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, our Comforter and Counselor who convicts man of sin.

We believe that the Holy Scriptures, the Bible, is the inspired written word of God for teaching, rebuilding, correcting and training in faith that manifests in good works.

We believe in the Holy Church of Jesus Christ the Fellowship of Believers that is Local and Universal, and is commissioned to make disciples, baptize and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We believe that Man is created in the Image of God, male and female, who is a sinner, who can be saved by Grace through Faith in Jesus Christ and have eternal life.

We believe that Jesus Christ will come and judge both the living and the dead. We believe in the resurrection of the body. Amen
