Once you have your CAPI score, you can figure out in which of the six brackets your skill currently is.
Level 1 corresponds to the skills a 3rd grader (10 years old) needs for basic school work and daily tasks.
Level 2 corresponds to the proficiency a 5th grader (12 years old) needs. These skills are necessary for effective and qualitative ICT use in school and at home.
Level 3 is the level of proficiency that a 15-year old or an adult should possess. This is the level that every pupil should have when they finish elementary school.
Level 4 is for business use. Teachers should have this level of proficiency. Students that finish high school should be about half way through this bracket.
Level 5 is for professional use. ICT teachers and technicians should have this level of proficiency.
Level 6 is developer level. Programmers, web developers and software developers have very specific skills that belong in this level.
