The CAP/NASA 2025 Aviation Weather Mission is proud to be a qualifying activity for the 2025 Quality Cadet Unit Award (QCUA).
Squadrons that have at least 4 cadets and 2 senior members participate in at least two mission observation dates can qualify for the Outside Activity point towards the QCUA, and squadrons can still qualify for the Outside Activity Point even if they have a different group of cadets collecting data on each observation date. All squadrons that meet the requirements for the Outside Activity Point will receive a certificate indicating that their Unit has met the requirements. The list of qualifying units will be submitted directly to the Cadet Programs team at NHQ on August 1, 2025.
The unit registered a data collection team by the March 1 deadline
The members of the data collection team completes the 6 Core Training Lessons before their team's first observation date
Each member of the data collection team completes the pre-mission survey prior to their first observation date
At least one member of the team attends the mandatory mission briefing before each of their observation dates
Field a data collection team of at least 4 cadets and 2 senior members on at least two of the mission observation dates
All data from the team is uploaded within 1 week of the observation date
Each member of the data collection team completes the post-mission survey within one week of their last observation date
