Camp Spark is an opportunity for young women to gain confidence, learn about leadership, take on physical challenges and participate in an immersive fire-training atmosphere. The camp is led by members of Aurora Fire Rescue, inspiring fire service leaders and other prominent women from across the nation.

The Castle Rock Fire and Rescue Department has an exciting and intriguing program for teenagers between the ages of 14 and 20. The Fire Explorer Program provides participants with direction, encourages youth to go beyond high school education, teaches leadership skills, and forms new friendships. This program runs year round and requires 80% participation attendance.
The South Metro Fire Rescue Explorers Program gives young individuals, ages 16 to 21, the unique opportunity to get an inside look at the fire service and experience what it is like to be a firefighter through hands-on training and career development activities. Explorers learn about the physical and mental demands of being a first responder and the various opportunities a career at SMFR offers.

Summer Sports
We Are Aurora Youth is a program designed to give the youth of Aurora ages 13 to 18 a fun and safe place to hang out during school breaks. Youth can receive free entry to a designated recreational center on weekdays from noon to 7 p.m. Youth will be able to participate in staff-led activities such as basketball, volleyball, flag football, esports, gift card competitions, and other activities.
From noon to 4 p.m. the designated recreation center will have free meals for youth provided by Aurora Public Schools during the We Are Aurora Youth program.
We Are Aurora Youth's next time of operation will be summer break. For Central Recreation Center, Moorhead Recreation Center, and Southeast Recreation Center and Fieldhouse this will take place from May 26th to August 7th.

Session 1: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | 2nd - 4th grade COED
Session 2: 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. | 4th - 9th grade GIRLS
Session 3: 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. | 4th - 6th grade BOYS

We go beyond the game and focus on life lessons, such as character development, teamwork, and health and wellness. We encourage your family to come experience a Gold Crown program!

WHAT: A small-group day camp led by an Occupational Therapist and Speech-Language Pathologist, offering themed days full of movement-based activities, creative art, and supportive opportunities for connection and regulation all week long. Each participant will have unique week-long speech and occupational therapy goals that are supported throughout the week.
WHO: Neurodivergent children (5-7 & 8-10) looking for a structured camp that understands their unique regulation, communication, and sensory support needs while engaging in fun activities
WHEN: July 20th - 24th, 2026

STRUCTURE:
Ages 5-7: 8:30-12:30
COST: $1,000 Total = $300 Deposit + $700 Therapy Fees.
Medicaid & Kaiser may cover the therapy costs. We also accept A&I Avenues funding to help cover some or all the cost.

WHAT: Adventure based camp run by an Occupational Therapist & Speech-Language Pathologist targeting: executive functioning, regulation, communication, and sensory processing
WHO: Neurodivergent tweens (11-14) looking to build confidence and friendship skills in a supportive environment
WHEN: July 27th - 31st, 2026
WHERE: Pickup and drop off at our office in Broomfield
STRUCTURE: Monday-Wednesday (9am-3pm); Thursday-Friday overnight at established campground with bathroom facilities
COST: $2,700 Total = $500 Deposit + $1,650 Camp Fees + $1,050 Therapy Fees Medicaid & Kaiser may cover the therapy costs. We also accept A&I Avenues funding to help cover some or all the cost.

WHAT: Adventure based camp run by an Occupational Therapist & Speech-Language Pathologist for returning campers, existing clients or individuals with a significant amount of outdoor experience who are looking for more challenging adventures and a two night overnight
WHO: Neurodivergent teens (15-18) looking to develop leadership skills, grow understanding of neurodiversity, and form community
WHEN: July 20th-24th, 2026
WHERE: Pickup and drop off at our office in Broomfield
STRUCTURE: Monday-Tuesday (9am-3pm); Wednesday-Friday trip at established dispersed campground with vault toilets
COST: $2,700 Total = $500 Deposit + $1,650 Camp Fees + $1,050 Therapy Fees. Medicaid & Kaiser may cover the therapy costs. We also accept A&I Avenues funding to help cover some or all the cost.
