JAZZ ENSEMBLE

Our award-winning Jazz Ensemble is an audition-based ensemble that meets primarily in the Spring Semester. This course meets UC/CSU (F) and District graduation requirements for Visual and Performing Arts. This course is designed to develop an understanding of the nature, structure and meaning of the jazz idiom through the rehearsal and performance of advanced jazz literature. This course provides for increasing skill in jazz ensemble performance. This course may be repeated for credit. Our Jazz Ensemble performs at many school, community, and fundraiser events, and jazz festivals throughout the year.
