MINISTERING QUICK TIPS
CULTURE OF MINISTERING:
Follow the Spirit. Do whatever it takes so that your families know that you love them.
Start by knowing their names and their birthdays (listed on assignment printout) and saying hello at church, or through a phone call or text.
The hope is that you will be the first person they think of when they need help.
MINISTERING INTERVIEWS:
Don’t wait for a formal ministering interview to report updates.
Whenever there are any updates with your ministering family (work change, health issues, family needs, exciting news, etc.), please inform your Elders Quorum Presidency member on your assignment printout.
Face to face ministering interviews are preferred, when possible. But this constant flow of information is vital to making sure everyone is cared for.

President Nelson said in his April 2018 address, "...in coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost." One way I can keep the Holy Ghost with me, is to have my scriptures with me. I have kept a Book of Mormon with me, and in all my survival and 72 hour kits. This is one way I can hear the word of the Lord to me. While food, shelter, and water are important, my faith in God will keep and sustain me. The military teaches that Faith, Family and Friends will keep you alive during difficult times. I know this to be true.
If there are any lessons of the past that we can learn, it would be from the Pioneers who came west for religious freedom. Many mighty miracles came about because of, and due to their faith. I love having the Book of Mormon in print, so that I can read it with or without the internet or power whenever I need it. In the coming days we will need the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost to provide warning and inspiration in our lives.
