The first step to enjoying your Canvia device is to set up your device. Once your device is plugged into a power source, it will start looking for a way to communicate with one of the applications that help you manage your device. You should first see the Canvia logo followed by a status message that indicates that you’re in “Access Point Mode”. Please follow along with the video here to make that connection. We’ve provided step-by-step instructions to make it as easy as possible. You can pause or rewatch this video as many times as you need. Checklist
Download the Canvia desktop app at setup.Canvia.art. The Canvia Desktop App is also available from Microsoft Store for Windows users.
Look for the link that says “Show me how to use my Canvia desktop app”.
Login with your Canvia username and password.
Confirm that your device is in default access point mode to find your home or office Wi-Fi.
Confirm the top right-hand corner of the screen is displaying the status message “Device is in access point mode...”.
Click on the “My devices” tab.
Click to see the list of devices.
Click on the blue “Setup Wi-Fi”.
Click the Wi-Fi icon for your device and choose the Canvia network instead of your usual Wi-Fi.
Confirm that you have a message that states “Wi-Fi credentials sent successfully. Connect to your Wi-Fi network and rerun device discovery.”
Switch your Wi-Fi setting back to your normal network if it has not done so automatically.
Confirm that Canvia device shows up in the list by its IP address which is a series of numbers and dots.
Click on the device to assign your Canvia a name and control the settings of your device.
If you successfully followed along with the video your device is now registered. Congratulations! You can now use the mobile app, desktop app and connect through my.canvia.art.
