I work as an Economist at the IMF African Department (currently on Mozambique, previously on WAEMU, Eswatini and Niger). Previously, I was an economist at the IMF Monetary and Capital Markets Department (Global Markets Analysis Division). I have completed my PhD in Economics at the University of Maryland (UMD), College Park in 2019. I research in the area of International Finance and Macroeconomics, and Political Economy.
I worked as a Summer Intern at the IMF Asia-Pacific Department (Regional Studies Disivison, Summer 2018), and at the IMF Research Department (Structural Reforms Unit, Summer 2017). I was also a Short Term Consultant at the World Bank (Development Economics Research Group, Summer 2016).
I taught courses on Financial Markets and Macroeconomics as an instructor at the UMD in 2016-2019. I was a Teaching Assistant for the Intermediate Macroeconomics course at the UMD in 2014-2016. Previously, I worked as a Teaching Assistant at Bogazici University in 2012-2014.
