NOTES: This is not a great DVD by any means; I was sitting there, producers were behind me, as well as Matthew Scott and Jacqui Polk in front of me, ushers on either sight lines behind me. I held the camera to my chest for the entire show and caught whatever I could. It is blind shot, so there is absolutely no zooms. First video of the original Off-Broadway run.

NOTES: Spectacular production with stellar music. Alice gives the performance of her career. A few cover-up's and a tiny bit shaky in the beginning. Some action downstage left is missing due to heads in the way throughout the show. Beautiful close ups and the first five minutes of act two is missing. Vertical capture of the only understudy filmed during the show's original Off-Broadway run.

NOTES: This includes Alice's flip out in the beginning to replace all the Costco stuff. It was a fantastic show and an even better video than my previous 3/1/08 master. I shot it in a different style to showcase more of the stage (since you can only stare at someones face for so long). Really emotional times in the theatre and you can hear sniffles in the camera. Recorded three days before the show was closed and rewritten.

NOTES: Kendra Kassebaum was such a phenomenal Diana - her acting was out of this world! Shot in 16:9 widescreen, a tad dark in some low-light scenes, but no obstructions at all. One brief blackout for the first minute of "Why Stay?" when a battery change was necessary. But also included (at the end of the DVD) is a clip of "Why Stay?" shot in its entirety from 2 days prior to make up for that. Quick drop-outs for applause. Also, the angle where my seat was weird, so there's slight tilt in the video. Audio fed in from external source, so the audio is nice and clear.

NOTES: Judy McLane has one of those voices that is somehow always perfect, and she sings the hell out of this score. This was her second time playing Diana, and had a somewhat different take on the role since her first time in 2011 - more vulnerable, more intense. Filmed with a newer HD camera and compiled with different DVD software, now generating two discs instead of one - better quality! Great 16:9 capture with little obstruction or washout except in the wide shots - great picture in medium and close zooms. Brief 30-second dropout at start of Act 2 due to wrong camera settings that were quickly fixed. Audio fed in from external source, so the audio is nice and clear. NO PART OF THIS VIDEO IS EVER TO BE POSTED ANYWHERE ONLINE including but not limited to YouTube, Tumblr, Vimeo, etc.
