Highlights include: Put You In Your Place, The Campfire Song, The Oracle, Good Kid, Killer Quest!, Lost!, My Grand Plan, Drive, DOA, Son of Poseidon, The Last Day of Summer, and Bring on the Monster. Several of the songs are incomplete, and there are some other scenes as well.

The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical - Broadway - September, 2019 (Preview) (everyturnandtwist's master)

FORMAT: MP4 (HD) | NFT: Forever | NOT FOR SALE

CAST: Chris McCarrell (Percy Jackson), Kristin Stokes (Annabeth Chase), Jorrel Javier (Grover/Mr. D), James Hayden Rodriguez (Luke & others), Jalynn Steele (Sally Jackson & others), Sarah Beth Pfeifer (Clarisse & others), Ryan Knowles (Chiron & others)

NOTES: NFT except from master (in other words -- email me and we can trade for it no problem!) Well, it sure is a thing that exists! (Which is saying a lot as far as bootlegs for this show go) Act I has a lot of framing issues due to the bar, and performers' heads are hard to see in lots of scenes. This is mostly fixed for Act II. There's no washout, however, and the sound is great. My friends and I laugh quite loudly at a lot of our favorite jokes/references, but it doesn't cut off anyone's lines.

The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical - Broadway - October, 2019 (StarCuffedJeans's master)

FORMAT: MP4 (HD)

CAST: Chris McCarrell (Percy Jackson), Kristin Stokes (Annabeth Chase), Jorrel Javier (Grover/Mr. D), James Hayden Rodriguez (Luke & others), Jalynn Steele (Sally Jackson & others), Sarah Beth Pfeifer (Clarisse & others), Ryan Knowles (Chiron & others)

NOTES: Fantastic HD capture of the Broadway transfer of this show, filmed from the orchestra. The video starts part of the way through the first number. Act Two starts after the bus explodes. Please do not post screenshots of this video on Twitter ever. Gifs on Tumblr are okay after the NFT date, but don't go linking things to actors and shows.

The Lion King - Broadway - November 16, 1997

FORMAT: VOB (no smalls) (SD)

CAST: Jason Raize (Simba), John Vickery (Scar), Heather Headley (Nala), Tsidii Le Loka (Rafiki), Max Casella (Timon), Tom Alan Robbins (Pumbaa), Geoff Hoyle (Zazu), Stanley Wayne Mathis (Banzai), Kevin Cahoon (Ed)

NOTES: Filmed RIGHT after opening night on Broadway when the show was still fresh. Shot from one of the boxes, resulting in an extreme angle (think near-perpendicular) so you can see into the wings and watch the actors slacking. Sound is great and it’s very well shot for a vid of its age though there is a touch of gen loss. Circle of Life is near perfect despite a little bit of washout.

NOTES: Fantastic show that captures both the dark and whimsical tone of Roald Dahl, great visuals and performances by everyone. Sophia is the youngest Matilda and she was great. Very small lyrical changes from London. Well shot and mostly steady, a head appears at the bottom of the screen sometimes because the person in front kept leaning forward urgh. Some wandering during Telly as the house lights were on.

NOTES: Closing night on Broadway! The final Broadway show performance! Lots of energy from the cast and audience! Denise Wood gave a nice speech after the curtain call. A good capture overall, there are a few heads that can be seen at the bottom of the screen throughout the show, but it is worked around and doesn't block more than the actors feet. There are about 3 minutes of blackouts during miracle, and a few other quick dropouts throughout the show. Telly is partially captured. Its filmed in 16:9 with a mix of wides, mediums and close-ups. Merrily We Roll Along - Broadway - November 25, 1981 (Preview)

FORMAT: MP4 (HD)

CAST: Jim Walton (Franklin Shepard), Ann Morrison (Mary Flynn), Lonny Price (Charley Kringas), Terry Finn (Gussie Carnegie), Sally Klein (Beth), Jason Alexander (Joe Josephson)

NOTES: As generally circulated, this video is missing most of the first part of the "Old Friends" scene, a chunk at the beginning of Act Two (after a few seconds of the entr'acte, it jumps to a point after the end of "It's a Hit!"), and part of "Opening Doors." It's unknown whether these were not shot or if they were deleted from circulating copies. This video is in the Theatre on Film and Tape (TOFT) collection of the Library of the Performing Arts in New York, though it wasn't shot for the collection. The first two screenshots are from an "upgraded" version, though the image resolution is smaller and the picture has been stretched too wide. It appears that noise reduction has been applied to smooth out the image. Compare with the second two screenshots from the "un-upgraded" version where details such as the wrinkles on clothing are sharper, the image resolution is higher, and the aspect ratio is correct.

Mythic - Montreal - November, 2019 (magicinthemess's master)

FORMAT: MP4 (HD)

CAST: Julia McLellan (Persephone), James Daly (Hades), Jessica Gallant (Aphrodite), Heather McGuigan (Demeter), Aadin Church (Zeus), Patrick Park (Helios), Matt Rafy (Charon), Alexia Gourd (Minos), Eva Petris (Ascalaphus), Jacob Sheffield (Olympus Guard)

NOTES: My first video master, filmed on a phone (so includes the usual washout problems) from behind some safety rails etc which can get a little annoying, but was just an unlucky seat. Blindshot from chest level so no zooms, but only a small portion of "Sweet Summer Days" and short sections on the extreme stage right upper level are not visible. In short, it's far from perfect, but it's the full show and (I think) the first footage of Mythic out there. PLEASE DO NOT POST THIS VIDEO OR ANYTHING OF IT (CLIPS, SCREENSHOTS, GIFS ETC) ANYWHERE ONLINE.

Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 - Broadway - December 29, 2016 (SJ Bernly's master)

FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD)

CAST: Denée Benton (Natasha), Josh Groban (Pierre), Brittain Ashford (Sonya), Grace McLean (Marya D.), Lucas Steele (Anatole), Amber Gray (Hélène), Manik Choksi (Dolokhov), Gelsey Bell (Mary/Opera Singer/Maidservant), Nicholas Belton (Andrey/Bolkonsky), Paul Pinto (Balaga)

NOTES: Fantastic and powerful performances from the whole cast. This is as nicely captured as can be expected from this show. There are several set pieces that obstruct the view of the action in certain places. There are about fourteen minutes of blackouts: most of the first seven minutes of act one, one and a half minutes of The Private and Intimate Life of the House, one minute of The Ball, three minutes of Balaga, one minute of The Abduction, and a couple other quick dropouts. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.

Newsies - First National Tour - March 6, 2016 (kradder32's master)

FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD)

CAST: Joey Barreiro (Jack Kelly), Stephen Michael Langton (Davey Jacobs), Morgan Keene (Katherine Plumber), Zachary Sayle (Crutchie), Steve Blanchard (Joseph Pulitzer), Aisha de Haas (Medda Larkin), John Michael Pitera (Les Jacobs), Andrew Wilson (u/s Darcy)

NOTES: A nice capture from the front orchestra, that results in some great close ups! This DVD gives you a perspective that most Newsies captures’ cannot. Zachary Sayle and Morgan Keene are huge standouts and gave fantastic performances. The action is followed nicely given the proximity to the stage, but some pieces of action have the focus delayed or are missed, as you can probably assume, dance numbers are hard to follow this close to the stage. Chaz gave a very funny BCEFA speech that is included (audio only). This capture is more wobbly than the (3/17) performance given where it was filmed in the theatre, near perfect audio that is synced with my Zoom H2.
