I was able to use your recommendation to uninstall the Candy Crush Package. That did not, however, delete the already downloaded update files. Those files still remain in the C drive wasting useful space. Any recommendation on how to permanently delete them? I've included a screenshot of the remaining files in the C drive after the uninstall of the candy crush package.

everytime i get tempted to upgarde from windows 7 to windows 10 I read something like this and it reminds me why I dont bother , guess eventually microsoft will go like woolworths did and just become a corporate non entity.

In the game, players complete levels by swapping colored pieces of candy on a game board to make a match of three or more of the same color, eliminating those candies from the board and replacing them with new ones, which could potentially create further matches. Matches of four or more candies create unique candies that act as power-ups with larger board-clearing abilities. Boards have various goals that must be completed within a fixed number of moves, such as collecting a specific number of a type of candy.

Whatever happens, it's another of the high profile apps and games that was apparently missing and is now present and correct, so colour me happy(ish) and time to unwrap another celebratory candy...

What matters though, aside from the sheer presence on the platform (so no more sneering "What do you mean, you can't play Candy Crush Saga on that thing?" taunts from your friends), is that the money making scheme for the developers game is intact and plays exactly as it does on the likes of the iPhone. At heart, it's a 'match 3' game, in a world of sweets and candies, but the difference here is that there are a mountain of candy types and special rules, plus balancing stats of various candy colours, all introduced in ever-increasing intensity as the scheme game progresses. Different "special candies" can be formed by matching a combination of 4 or 5 in a certain formation, such as a "Striped" candy (which clears either an entire row or column), a "Wrapped" candy (which acts like a bomb; clearing the 8 surrounding candies, falling, and exploding one more time), or a "Color Bomb" (which removes all candies with the same color of the one it is matched with). Special Candies can also be matched together, producing varying effects; for example, matching a color bomb with a striped candy turns all of the candies of its color into striped candies, which are immediately detonated.

Other special candies which appear on the boards for free can be purchased from the in-game store, or won from the Candy Crush Booster Wheel. Other pieces also appear on levels such as Chameleon Candies which switch colors every turn, Mystery Candies which randomly turn into a Special Candy or a Blocker, and Extra Time Candies on time limit levels.

That's a lot to remember (and that was just part of it!), though of course the candies, specials, features, boosters and balances are introduced one by one (by the 'candy king'?) so as not to overwhelm the casual player. It does seem, from hearing others talk online, that the subtleties of the various obstacles and power-ups can be mastered, despite the apparent complexity.

The biggest change players will notice early on is that some game grids have been "exploded", seemingly providing no way to actually make matches. It's actually a way to introduce new tactics, particularly around the new jelly theme. Making select matches over the purple gel spreads it over clean areas, with stages completed by completely covering the map. Some levels are multi-stage, with a move limit to fill several screens' worth of candy grids with jelly.

The images in the background are drawn with a cartoon style but the candies themselves look like CG images with polished effects on them. Today I noticed that my computer has a lot of candycrush files, many are .csv but there is candycrushsaga.exe. They seemed to have been added 13 days ago. I've never used CandyCrush and it doesn't show up as an installed program. The files are in c:\Program Files\WindowsApp\King.com.CandyCrush....
