      Steve Roberts is a retired law enforcement officer from Greensboro PD. In his 30 years with the department he acted as a patrol officer, school resource officer and crime prevention officer. His training has included areas of peer support, critical incident management and peer counseling. He is currently continuing to serve as a peer support counselor and police chaplain. Steve has been involved in ministry for most of his life. He served as senior pastor of Whites Chapel United Methodist Church in Ramseur NC serving for 8 years. After leaving his appointment with Whites Chapel, he served St Johns United Methodist Church in Greensboro as an assistant pastor. He later took a position with Christ Wesleyan Church in Greensboro pastoring the young adult/college program. At the urging of the members of that group, he began Asbury ministries in 2015. Following his understanding of the Wesleyan theology, Steve and those involved with him have created an independent non-denominational ministry with an emphases on Methodist/Wesleyan traditions. He started as Pastor at Canaan-First Global Methodist and Clear Springs Global Methodist Church January 21st, 2024
