Although the project is officially complete, Cameron did have to take out a loan with the Troop to pay for the cost overruns encountered due to supply chain/cost escalation issues due to COVID-19 impacts and previous donor committments not honored. Total project costs came in at $8,187 less $3,312 in donated materials leaving $4,875 to be paid out of cash. Fundraising so far yielded $3,864 leaving $1,011 loan from Troop 7 that Cameron needs to pay back. We will continue fundraising efforts through June 20, 2021 to help pay off that remaining debt. Your help with this remaining debt would be much appreciated.
Update: As of June 13, 2021 Cameron has brought in a total of $4,507 leaving a balance of $368 remaining to close out his loan with the troop. We will gladly take bottles & cans on up to Saturday June 19, 2021 and donations up to Sunday June 20, 2021. Any help is much appreciated.
There are a couple ways you can help. Fundraising is the hardest part of an Eagle Scout project. Below you will find details on how you can contribute either directly on my GoFundMe page or by participating in my Bottles & Can's drive. You're also welcome to reach out via email to CamsEagleProject@gmail.com to make other donation arrangements.

It's the safe, social distanced way to help support the project.
COVID-19 Bulletin/Precautions: We are continuing our Bottles & Cans fundraising efforts during the current COVID-19 situation. We will continue to take your donations, please note the COVID-19 precautions and changes in the following.
Bottles & Can's Drive
Donate your redeemable bottles and cans for the cause and anyone can participate. You can drop off at my home in Scituate or I can arrange to pick them up at your residence (see details below for each option).
If you're uncertain if a bottle or can is redeemable and can't clearly make out the MA redemption markings on the container, basic rule of thumb us scouts use for our own troop bottles and can's fund fundraiser (usually held in August) is bubbles or beer. If it's carbonated or a beer beverage many times it's redeemable with certain craft brew or cider exemptions (fruit, tea, spring or purified water are most certainly excluded). If you're uncertain, just include them and I'll sort it out.
COVID-19 Precautions: While current COVID-19 quarantine precautions are in affect and Troop meetings have been suspended, we will only take donations from your home or dropped off as outlined in the following.
Drop off your bottles & cans:
At my house... At 8 Edgewood Road, Scituate MA.
Any day, but only between 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM please. You will see a sign pointing towards the side of the house... leave your donation by the sign or at that side of the house (your left facing the house / East side).
COVID-19 Precautions: To assure safe handling, please place your donations in tightly sealed (tied) trash bags only. No torn bags please.
Pickup from your home:
If you need help, I can arrange to pick up your bottles & cans from your home by special arrangement only. Please contact Robert Bruscino at (781) 783-4232 (leave a voice message please) or email me at camseagleproject@gmail.com.
