Looking for a fun, stylish stay for your home-away-from-home retreat at beautiful Lake Bruin, “the Hamptons of Louisiana”?
“Camp Flamingo,” located 2 miles north of the Lake Bruin State Park on the eastern side of Lake Bruin, is a completely and recently-renovated 4 bedroom/2 bath lake house that will sleep up to 15 people.
High speed wi-fi is included throughout so you can stay connected with all of your mobile devices. An 86-inch Samsung TV in the living room is perfect for movies, sports, or your favorite You Tube channels, as well as the usual streaming services. The den/living room seats 8 around the TV, plus 2 small tables nearby that seat 3 and 4 persons.

Expansive glass windows in the dining room/sun room offer a beautiful wide-screen view of Lake Bruin while up to 12 persons can eat at the large wooden dining table. In the dining porch there’s also a bar-island with 3 bar stools for other diners. There are also 4 colorful wooden rocking chairs and 2 plush chaise lounge chairs overlooking the Lake that make for a wonderful Happy Hour relaxing spot.

There is one King bedroom with a separate child bed, one Queen bedroom, 2 bunk bed rooms with 4 beds each, and 2 fold-out chair beds in the glassed-in porch area. The King bedroom and one bunk room share a newly-tiled shower/tub bathroom combination and the Queen bedroom shares a newly-remodeled shower-only bathroom.

The well-equiped and airy kitchen has a wonderful 4-burner electric stove, a full-size refrigerator with freezer, a separate soft-crunch ice maker, a quiet dishwasher, and large concrete table top island with 6 swivel bar stools. A Keurig K-Cup pod coffee maker and an Espresso Pod coffee machine help you wake up every morning and there is a new washer and dryer combination for keeping all your clothes clean.
The large deck on the back of the home overlooks a wide expanse of Lake Bruin, with a wrought iron mesh patio set (with umbrella) that seats 4. Seating on the deck can accommodate up to 15, and 2 deck fans keep the air moving comfortably during the summer while the surrounding oak and cypress trees provide cooling shade. For those who like to grill, there is both a propane gas grill and an electric wood pellet grill smoker.

During the summer months, the dock provides an easy access to swimming in the lake and there is a 12 x 6 Lily Pad floating mat and over a dozen different types of inflatable floaties for both adults and children to enjoy the lake. There is also seating for up to 12 persons on the dock, with a year-round exceptional western view of the often spectacular sunsets over Lake Bruin.
