Cecilia (CC) Chung is an educator at Ka`imiloa Elementary School in Ewa Beach and has worked as a classroom teacher and a K-6 technology integration coach. She was most recently named the 2020 Hawai`i State Teacher of the Year and strongly believes in the importance of elevating teachers. CC continues to share and facilitate workshops at a variety of conferences, serves on the Executive Board for the Hawaii Society for Technology in Education, and is an alumni fellow of the Hawaii State Teacher Fellowship. Jenna Nitahara has been an educator for 13 years, teaching both 8th grade math and Algebra. She was born and raised in Hawaii, and received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education from the University of Portland. Jenna began teaching at Ilima Intermediate, then moved over to Ewa Makai Middle School when it opened in 2011. Jenna received National Board Certification in 2012 and has been a staff developer with AVID for the last 7 years. She currently lives in Waikele with her husband, daughter and dogs. Outside of teaching, Jenna’s interests include, eating, traveling, reading, listening to podcasts, and spending time with loved ones. She believes that everything happens for a reason, and that all children can learn.
