Oppo was founded in 2004, and in 2005 started launching their mp3 players. In 2008 they launched the first mobile phone under the OPPO brand name-"Smiley Face." However, it wasn't until 2009 when this company made its debut outside of China by releasing a product to Thailand for sale. Yet as of today there are numerous countries where you can purchase an Oppo mobile phone including Australia and Canada!

Oppo has been a leader in smartphone technology since 2011, when they launched the company’s first phone endorsed by Leonardo DiCaprio. In 2012 they Launched U701 with revolutionary face-beautification feature and then following that up with ColorOS in 2013 which is Oppo's proprietary operating system designed specifically for Android devices to make them look beautiful!

In 2013 they launched N Series, their first smartphone with rotating camera which was followed by VOOC in 2014-a revolutionary technology for fast charging your phone! The introduction of these new innovations helped them increase market share and the company made it into top 4 worldwide in 2016. But Oppo didn't stop there! For 2018 they introduced Find X - an innovative product solving all issues related to screen size on phones while still maintaining sleek design without any bezel at all!

In 2018, Oppo released the Find X - their first full-screen phone. The phone is available in Europe and North America now but we're eagerly awaiting to hear about availability for other markets like Australia!

At the 2019 Mobile World Congress (MWC), it was announced that Oppo had plans of launching 5G phones that year.

Alongside announcements from companies such as Huawei and Samsung, they launched all round Flagship Find X2 Series with industry leading screens in 2020.

Oppo launched the OPPO Watch in 2020, a device that can measure heart rate and blood oxygen levels and is a competitor to Apple's product.
