Camp Abilities PA @ WCU 2025 registration is closed for the season. To place your child on the camp waiting list and to be contacted early about next summer, complete the form below.
Camp Abilities PA @ WCU requires a $75 deposit per child. If this is a hardship for your family, please contact us about the availability of scholarship funds. Checks can be written out to the WCU Foundation and mailed to Dr. Beth Foster, 306 Sturzebecker HSC, West Chester University, West Chester, PA 19383. We do not have a way to take deposits electronically, but if in lieu of a deposit you would like to donate $75 to camp, that can be done online by visiting the WCU Foundation website and writing in Camp Abilities as the fund.
Camp Abilities PA @ WCU is an educational sports camp for athletes who have visual impairments that are free from secondary medical, cognitive, and/ or behavioral conditions that affect their full participation in high-intensity sports in cooperative/ team settings. Additionally, athletes at Camp Abilities PA should be able to independently take care of their personal hygiene, sustain physical activity for several hours at a time for four days in a row, and be free of medical conditions that require treatment with narcotics or IV medication. Children who present the following behaviors are not a match for Camp Abilities PA: biting, kicking, scratching, hitting, self-injurious behavior, elopement, verbal or physical threats to self and/or others, continuous noncompliance.
