Program Aides in Training

Camp Juliette 2017 PAT

Girls entering 7th and 8th grades will join the Program Aides in Training (PAT) Unit and stay five days and four nights at beautiful Camp Panhandle near Shelton, WA. This unit focuses on the leadership and program skills they will need when they advance to lead the younger campers.  PATs still get to enjoy activities such as swimming, boating, hiking, outdoor cooking, and arts & crafts.

This group of girls (going into 7th and 8th grade in the fall) will receive a resource binder to keep and decorate. These binders are for the different activities they will learn: campfire entertainment, songs, knot tying, safe knife handling, fire making methods, safety in all areas, outdoor cooking, planning activities, basic first aid, age-appropriate expectations, leadership, how to teach others, and much more.  The PATs then use what they have learned while at camp; they lead the campfire entertainment, they sing while campers are arriving and departing, and they sing/lead grace; and they teach the other girls the camp songs.

*If you have younger girls as well as PATs, please make carpooling arrangements for separate drop-offs. Everyone will leave camp at the same time.
